Featuring BD-Live compatibility, you can use the Bonus View feature of select Blu-ray films as well as get the latest features and updates as they become available. The BDP-S350 also outputs a Full 1080/24p resoluationTrue Cinema picture, as well as up-scaling your old DVDs to 1080p resolution when you use the HDMI connection. Better picture quality won't be the only thing you'll be enjoying as the BDP-S350 comes with Dolby TrueHD which delivers sound as stunning as the HD video output. Tying it all together is the new icon based Xcross Media Bar, which provides simple navigation of the player's menu system.

Bonus View

The Bonus View feature of the BDPS350 provides “picture-in-picture” capability with select Blu-ray Disc titles which is useful for viewing director or actor commentary at the same time as watching the film.

Full HD 1080/60 p & 24p True Cinema Video Output

Most Hollywood movies are shot at 24 frames per second, and Blu-ray Disc movies are mastered at 24 frame per second, so it makes sense that the BDP-S350 can output your films at 1080/24p resolution for a true film like experience at home. Of course, the BDP-S350 can also output at 1080/60p for more traditional HDTV sets on the market.

Dolby TrueHD decoder built-in

Dolby TrueHD delivers loss-less studio master quality audio designed specifically for high definition entertainment. An incredible sound stage, dynamic range and a stellar home cinema experienace are available this way.

Dolby TrueHD /DTS-HD bitstream out over HDMI (V1.3)

Dolby TrueHD/DTS-HD gives the BDPS350 sound quality to match up to the HD image quality. With up to 7.1 channels of surround sound and audio that is hard to tell is not the original studio version, Dolby TrueHD/DTS-HD promises you an extraordinary surround sound experience.

DVD upscale to 1080p

The BDP-S350 can also up-scale your old dvd discs to HD quality via the HDMI port.

Precision Cinema HD Upscale

Precision Cinema HD upscale uses high bandwidth digital-to-analog conversion and processing to detect image changes at the pixel level, rather than at the level of whole scan lines. Additionally, seperate algorithms are used to process the moving and still parts of an image, resulting in sharp backgrounds with moving objects that are free from motion artifacts.

x.v.Colour for AVC-HD

Support for the international xvYCC color standard means that the BDP-S350 produces images with 1.8x the colour space of the traditional RGB colour standard, resulting in images with more natural and have generally better colour reproduction.

BRAVIA Sync

As a leader in products with HDMI connections, Sony has created BRAVIA Sync to go beyond simple audio and video transmission. When combined with a select number of BRAVIA televisions and other Sony audio and video products, the BDPS350 can control functions via the HDMI cable. With 'One Touch Play' operations that took several steps can now be done at the press of a button.

Ethernet port provides connectivity to a home broadband connection so you can download network updates

USB port for BD-Live External Memory
