BDP-S350 Blu-Ray
Reviews of the BDP-S350 Sony
The BDP-S350 is a brand new Blu-Ray dvd player which doesn't go on general sale in the UK until early September.
Unfortunately this means there are no BDP-S350 reviews available from customers at this stage. As soon as we have our first BDP-S350 customer review then we will be posting it right here!
However, Sony have made BDP-S350 Blu-Ray players before so we have included a review below even though it isn't for the BDP-S350.

"We've had our BDP-S350 for about five weeks now. It's connected up to a Sony Bravia television and the installation was extremely simple. We have watched several Blu-ray films and the conclusions that follow is based on that as well as some of our ordinary DVDs.
Comments about the BDP-S350 Blu-Ray slow start up time/film load time are pretty much right. It takes a while to start and another wait after inserting a film into the tray to be ready to play the film. However you can work around this, a film is a couple of hours long anyway, so what's a couple of minutes before?
We have done some comparisons with some other DVD players we seem to have collected over the years like the BDP-S300. Yes it's slower than normal ones but then it is reading a lot more information. So whilst the BDP-S350 is never going to load a film instantly, it doesn't really detract from the experience.

Our view on viewing is that when watching 'Black Hawk Down' the original DVD is up-scaled via the BDP-S350 and this is what we compared. Playing the same film on a blu-ray disc is a lot better and crisper, the colours in particular. Whether these improvement warrant the extra money or not is maybe a moot point though.
Our experiences with the sound of the BDPS350 are probably as much about our setup as anything else but it is pretty impressive none the less. We cannot help wondering if we wouldn't have found the same with the BDP-S500 or the BDP-S550 though seeing as they would be going through exactly the same audio system.
Conclusion - is the BDPS350 worth the outlay? Well if you need to replace an existing old DVD player and would like to take advantage of the higher quality output, yes we think it is. But the gains are marginal compared to the outlay."
